  • Height – states are allowed to set their own
  • Width – 8’6″
  • Length ranges from 48′ to 53′

  • Tandem axle – 34,000 lbs
  • Gross weight – 80,000 lbs

Federal regulations are applied on the amount of weight trailed on each axle, calculated using the bridge weight formula.

  • Extendable double-drop deck trailers are suitable for extra-large/ tall freights.

  • Axle configuration – can reach up to thirteen axles for heavier shipment.
